This quiz was helpful. I’m naturally medium brown, brown eyes. I’m Autumn and was thinking of doing copper with honey blonde highlights. I have grey at my crown so trying to blend/cover grey with low maintenance. Any suggestions?

Ive had grey since i was 14 years old. Recently I have decided to let my hair around my face grow out natural (face frame). Try letting that spot grow so you have a natural streak. If you’re not willing to try that, have a hair dresser put in a few foils along your part and around your face if you wear ponytails. The blond will blend with the grey.

Veronica bermingham , you can use blond to cover gray, try dark blond or medium blond. Use one with no ammonia like Olio. It works great.

I also think Summer and Spring are reversed. Spring is supposed to be a peachy complexion, or a bit of gold in the skin. Skin that dances..or porcelain skin tone. This is Spring. Summer is the fairest of all.

How long should continue to dye my hair? I’m 55 now and I only see a hint of gray, but I know I can’t dye it forever so I wondered what a good age to make the next change is. Looking forward to your answer. Thank you,

you have made a gross error between the season of SPRING and SUMMER, mixing them completely opposite!! You should fix this because you are misguiding people on their hair color!!!

I agree with this! For a moment I was confused and then I realized that the descriptions for Summer and Spring have been reversed. Spring is soft and warm, the lighter “sister” season of Autumn. Summer is soft and cool, almost like a lighter or softer kind of Winter. Not the other way round.

I don’t agree with your comments, because Spring is coming off of Winter, and is by nature a cooler season than Summer, and Summer is definitely the warmest of all the 4 seasons, so the descriptions provided are logical and make sense. Also, the description given for the Spring-type skins tones are fairer, and we all know that fair skinned people do not do well in Summer.

      • RLP November 29, 2017, 2:12 am

Eleanna – you are absolutely right. The Seasons ARE reversed. Spring is a warm color season, and Summer is a cool season. And Conscious Observer, FYI the physical temperature of the seasons has nothing to do with the ‘visual’ warmth or coolness of the seasonal color palates. To read these graphs correctly so people do not wind up with incorrect hair coloring – the season marked Spring here is actually SUMMER, and vice versa – the Summer season depicted here is SPRING. You should select hair color that is harmonious to your SKIN TONE, not the latest shade in Vogue to look your BEST. It is a shame they do not correct this website info, because coloring hair is a very serious business for ladies, and getting an incorrect shade which is not harmonious according to you skin tone is extremely difficult to manage with balancing out your clothing and make up. So please heed this advice and make the changes accurately for yourselves!! Good Luck to all!
