Thank you Mike and a Happy New Year to you as well!

  • Shirley Walter January 5, 2016, 10:04 pm

Getting committed to someone is the ultimate goal in life. It means a lot and should be taken that way.

  • Lindsay Ware January 1, 2016, 10:17 am

All of the things you have listed are essential for a good relationship and when one or both are not following that, the relationship bond will break.

  • Kathryn Truesdale December 31, 2015, 9:02 am

Did you know that a guy that is not going to commit, might have a complex that was put into his head by his parents without even knowing it?

  • Phillip Thomas December 30, 2015, 9:37 am

Let’s take a look at the reason that a woman would want us to commit. Are all of those reasons good ones?

    • Geneva Lugo January 1, 2016, 10:32 am

Well, not really. But I guess it comes down to what YOU think is a good reason!

  • Karen Brown December 29, 2015, 8:41 am

Nobody wants to be pushy, but after a while, what is a woman to do?

    • Darlene Hadley December 31, 2015, 8:52 am

You move along to someone new. If the guy is not going to commit, there is no reason to stick around and HOPE.

  • Ernestine Brooks December 28, 2015, 1:13 pm

IF the guy does not want to commit, yet, then wait a bit. If you have been talking about commitment and he still does not want to, then it might be time to find a new man, right?

    • Eulah Kepler December 30, 2015, 9:45 am

Yes, wait. But how long? I do not want to wait in my life forever.

  • Martha Gale December 27, 2015, 9:32 am

I guess if you can notice the signs before it is too late, that will save you some time in the end. Good point!

  • Helen Berry December 24, 2015, 12:25 pm

That is a pretty good track record with your clients. The numbers are high enough that I would consider your services.

  • Robert Cates December 23, 2015, 9:54 am

I had a girl tell me one time that if she cannot have sex more than one time per week that SHE was not going to commit to ME. It was weird having the tables turned around at that point.

    • Sadie Johnson January 4, 2016, 9:35 pm

That is weird. I would question your motives right away :)

  • Gladys Acosta December 22, 2015, 12:49 pm

Like many of the others here, I would not want to MAKE a man commit. That just does not seem right to me.

    • Tasha Cosper December 28, 2015, 1:26 pm

You mean making the guy commit? Or having to force the guy to commit?

  • Autumn Lentz December 19, 2015, 8:32 am

There is a lot you can do to make sure that a guy is willing to admit he will commit, right? Just stay on top of it and make sure you are giving him reasons to commit to YOU.

  • Stacy Obrien December 18, 2015, 5:40 pm

This just seems wrong. unless you have been talking about marriage, why assume he wants to get married?

    • Mary Muldoon December 26, 2015, 12:20 pm

very true. it should be something that is talked about before you go off the deep end.

  • Karen May December 18, 2015, 5:29 pm

There was a time when I thought this was going to be the only thing I worried about. When I stopped worrying about that, it all came around and we have been together for years!

  • Teresa Nelson December 17, 2015, 4:39 pm

These are good tips. I will be using these soon if my man is not “ready” to commit.

    • Elizabeth Bushman December 22, 2015, 1:00 pm

yes they are. I live by some of these however, I have noticed that most men fight back when they are pushed too hard.

  • Margarita Bothwell December 16, 2015, 1:07 pm

If you think that you can make a guy commit, then you must be dealing with a weak man. Most of the men that I know, would see that in a second and turn into huge jerks because of it.

    • Lorene Randall December 29, 2015, 8:49 am

Very good perspective on the topic.

  • Ramona Bright December 16, 2015, 12:59 pm

I do not want to make him commit. Just like the others that I have seen commenting here, I just want it to happen naturally, is that ok?

    • Barbara Chapa December 27, 2015, 9:43 am

That is totally fine to feel that way.

  • Kandi Young December 15, 2015, 10:03 am

Awesome. I have been waiting long enough now and hope that I can get him to commit to me before the new year!

    • Margaret Freeman December 17, 2015, 4:52 pm

Good luck with that. I hope you are following the advice you see here.

  • Kathy Stanback December 15, 2015, 9:53 am

I would be interested in a free conversation. I might be able to gauge where my relationship is right now.

    • Ivan Johnson December 19, 2015, 8:41 am

Me, too! Let us know how it goes for you!

  • Janice Smith December 14, 2015, 9:40 am

Making a man commit is not going to end well. With the divorce rate so high these days, why would you want to push it? If the guy is not into you, find one that is.

    • Janice Chenoweth December 24, 2015, 12:35 pm

My thoughts are exactly like yours. Set a timeline and if the commitment does not come by then, move along.

  • Ruth Samuels December 14, 2015, 9:30 am

I would say that if he is not planning dates, that is a pretty solid sign that he has other ideas about being with you.

    • Angeline Pryor December 23, 2015, 10:03 am

I felt the same way, but a guy that I met was not good at making creative decisions like that.

    • Patrick Pike December 26, 2015, 12:36 pm

Maybe. I would say that it might have more to do with how long you have been together, right?
