Since I am a vegetarian, the vegetable pot pie is something that I would like to try in the slow cooker. Thanks for the link to the recipe.

Things do not get easier than a slow cooker recipe. One that is low in calories is just an added bonus, but not the only reason I would use the slow cooker.

Just like my husband always says, “I am never going to turn away from a good slow cooker recipe” :)

These look awesome, plus they are low in calories so that is a major bonus.

  • Maurene April 30, 2015, 11:03 am

Total bonus that these recipes are low in calories. I love the fact that I can whip this altogether and just let it sit in the slow cooker for the afternoon.

  • Mira April 30, 2015, 10:46 am

I love to use the slow cooker on a lazy day. It is just a bonus that these recipes are a little healthier than what I normally put into one :)

  • Logan April 29, 2015, 9:51 am

If you are going to give me a slow cooker recipe or two, I am going to listen up right away. I LOVE to “cook” in one of these things and even got a larger one for my birthday because of that reason.

  • ChefGeorge April 28, 2015, 9:05 pm

I do not care what anyone says, the slow cooker is the best thing around! You can make so many meals and with this list, now you can make healthy ones!

  • Brandon Gritts April 28, 2015, 2:51 pm

Does anyone know that you can cook just a bout anything in a slow cooker? I have even used it to re-heat foods, since I am not thrilled to use the microwave if I do not have to.

  • Douglas April 28, 2015, 2:34 pm

I think these are great recipes. Every one has been in a pinch for time and slow cookers come to the rescue at that point!

  • Lucius April 27, 2015, 2:56 pm

Crock pot, or slow cooker, recipes are my favorite. I make a mean chili in our slow cooker and I think I might tray a few of these to keep the calories down to a minimum.

  • Ronnie April 25, 2015, 11:56 pm

My girlfriend is going to freak when I show her this. We were just talking about this type of thing. I love the slow cooker and any time that I can get recipes for it, even better! Being able to save on the calories is just a bonus.

  • Vallie Flores April 24, 2015, 7:04 pm

I have seen that more men are likely to “cook” when a recipe sends them to the slow cooker! I am not going to complain, unless the meal does not turn out and it was a waste. A+ for effort, however.

  • Selma April 24, 2015, 6:45 pm

I am so happy to have had the slow cooker in my house. Now my husband can follow recipes and actually make a meal for us that we can enjoy!

One of my favorite to use gadgets in the entire house! The slow cooker has so many uses, including the ones you have listed here.

    • Jimmy Wilson May 3, 2015, 4:59 pm

Gadget!? LOL. Nice. Not a whole lot of technology here, but you know that already. The slow cooker is the lazy mans over and I am OK with that!
