Exactly What To Do If He Hasn't Texted You In Two Days

Exactly What To Do If He Hasn’t Texted You In Two Days

A guy hasn’t texted in three days and you are freaking out about what to do. Ghosting is not exactly a fun situation to deal with.

No, it’s actually an extremely horrible thing to deal with. You don’t understand what went wrong exactly.

All you know is you felt like things were going in a good direction before and you might have even gone on a few dates or hung out a lot… but never made anything official or decided be official.

more: What To Do When A Guy Doesn’t Text Back

The point is… things are fresh enough to the point where you are really worried that you accidentally made some kind of mistake or did something wrong that made him vanish.

You might even be over-analyzing the situation and talking to your friends about it trying to figure out what to do in order to remedy the situation and “fix things.”

First of all… I want to start off by saying stop with the mindset that you need to “fix things”. By trying to fix things, what you actually end up doing is spending a lot of time worrying about what to do and what not to do. This worrying makes you drive yourself crazy thinking of scenarios that could have happened…

Worrying about what potential scenario could have happened will then make you feel desperate and like you have to do something fast to make him like you again.

The problem with this entire mindset and train of thought is that you actually end up sabotaging your shot with this guy when you fixate on how to solve some problem you feel you created.

Here’s Why He Hasn’t Texted In 2 Days

There are many reasons he might not have texted back. He could simply be busy. Or he could be worried that if he starts the texting conversation that he will end up having to go back and forth with you all day. Many guys do not want to get into a long winded conversation that lasts all day. This is a big difference between men and women, the way that texting is viewed. So one thing you can do is to realize that you might have over-estimated the nature of what it is you have with him.

why he hasn't texted in 2 days

more: What To Do If He Suddenly Stops Texting You Out Of The Blue

There is a possibility that his lack of a response is because… well, he is not interested in pursuing something further with you.

I know this is not fun to accept or to acknowledge, but it is certainly a possibility that he is simply not interested and trying to let you down gently.

I’m not trying to sound harsh or to hurt you, I’m trying to give you the honest truth about the situation. I know that giving you something that sounds nice but doesn’t help you is way worse than telling you the truth, or even worse than saying nothing at all.

more: The Real Reasons Guys Disappear After A Great First Date

It might be painful to hear now, but a blunt truth is always better than a sweet sounding lie.

What kind of mindset should you take moving forward?

Don’t Have Expectations About the Relationship

This is a huge mistake that so many women make when it comes to this specific kind of situation (a man suddenly not responding and ghosting on you).

Having expectations will only lead to disappointment. If you have an idea of what you want to have happen with him in your mind already, anything he does or does not do will be something you over-analyze and fixate about.

more: He Hasn’t Texted In A Couple Days… What Did I Do?

Fixating does nothing but create more problems and actually drives men away. The reason is because fixating gives off a needy vibe. When you give off a needy vibe, you end up making him feel suffocated and it kills his attraction toward you.

Instead of being needy, focus on shifting your mindset. One simple mindset shift will make it so that you go from making it unlikely that he will text you back… to maximizing the chances that he will.

Also realize and accept that it is definitely possible that he is not interested anymore. If this is the case, simply accept it… move forward and do not take it personally. His opinion of you means nothing about you as a person.

more: What Does It Mean When He Doesn’t Text For 3 Days?

It is better to truly give up on a situation and let things unfold as they may. This will actually make it so that you automatically give off an attractive vibe to not just this guy but men in general.

Truly letting go and accepting that no matter what, if any man does not respond, it will be ok is going to make you come off without the relationship sabotaging neediness that kills so many potential relationships.

So once you drop the neediness, think about life this way: be as happy as you can in your own life. If you focus on your happiness, it will come across in everything you do and say.

So What Should You Avoid Doing?

One thing you can do in this situation is you can text him once and just see if he responds. If he ignores one text that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s not interested he could simply be busy or have intended to respond to the text but never got around to it.

more: To Text Or Not To Text?

But if you send another text and be still doesn’t reply… he might be giving you a hint and you should stop texting him…

Don’t send him sad faces (not saying you would ever do this but you would be surprised at how many women do).

Don’t continue to worry and fixate and write him long paragraphs trying to “understand” what went wrong.

If he isn’t responding after two or more texts it is very likely that he is “ignoring you” on purpose. I hate to use that word but it’s the best way to put it. It isn’t because he’s a bad person or because he’s trying to hurt you…

If anything, he’s trying to avoid hurting your feelings.

Either way, focusing on one guy is only going to lead to heartbreak (and unconsciously push him away from you).

The absolute best thing to do when a guy isn’t texting you back is simply to move on and keep your heart open to other people.

When you do that, you show yourself as a woman who demands respect (because she has respect for herself), and you automatically attract the kind of man who will show you that respect.

Remember, focusing on one guy is going to trip you up.

If you’re not getting what you need from the guy you’re with, the best thing to do is open your mind and heart to other partners, to find the person who’s right for you.

On the other hand if you feel in your heart that this is the man for you it’s so important to realize that him not texting you back can be a major symptom of him losing interest in you so he goes cold and pulls away. So I think it’s vitally important to read this next article now before it’s too late: If He’s Pulling Away, Do This…

I met a guy in a store two weeks ago. We met again and talked and he had decided that I was the best gal and asked me to be his girlfriend? I said yes. So we talked on the phone allot and met each other for the second time chatted you know lol then we talked more and he would call me in two days and he did after his surgery . Than I text him today and no response. I wanted to know how he was feeling? And mentioned to him that Id love to be part of there sons life. Also he wanted me to mention about if I had any news to where my ex lived to let him know .My ex has a ro to stay away from my daughter. So by texting him these things after he did his call push him away? He has two sons and he is busy dealing with family issues. The times he calls and comes is when he has free time and three times a week is when he shows to met me. He says he will be coming to see me when he is able to drive. He lives 30 mins away. He said he would not hurt me or use me or abuse me. What do you think?

This soooooo helped. I was stressing bc he didn’t text or call for 24 hours (yes I counted) the. I read this article. The boring text was lightbulb above my head. I was headed to a bday party and decided to send him something funny, sexy, and clever. It worked and we ended talking later until midnight. Thanks for the tips.

Hey guys, I have a situation. So there’s this guy I’ve known for like 10 years and he’s always been like one of my best friends. On my fb status I put all guys in Vegas are the same and he said not this guy and from there we started talking in messenger. So like he began flirting and I gave the phone to my friend for her to help me flirt back. But I was kinda shocked how flirty she was and I was embarrassed so like I told him and I feel like he got mad…. I like know him so that’s what I feel. I just wanna know if you guys think he’s mad cause In the messenger app he was really quick to reply and after I told him what I did he stopped. Like he replied late and all that jazz so like I haven’t talked to him in like 3 days and I feel bad idk what to do?

I am confused I was with a man and I heard from him yesterday afternoon and he never text me back . I called his phone to see if he was ok and the phone was off. Then he text me and said he will text back in a few then I hear nothing. Then he tells me he is talking to the judge which he was in court the night before. He said he would text me to tell me everything then once again I have not heard from him since then and not at all today any advice?? He told me everything was fine so I’m confused if he don’t want to be with me just be a man and tell me

So in my situation…the last text convo we had was him apologizing again…for not calling me back…and telling me he was driving home I’m the rain. I said drive safe. He sent a kissy emoji…3 hours later…i sent a pic of me…haven’t heard from him sense. Its been 2 days. This would be the 3rd time I have been left wondering if I wouldnt hear from him again and we have only been “talking” and met a month ago. I personally feel its too soon to be dealing with wondering if a text or call is coming. In my gut…I feel the guy isn’t truly available to date anyone…but gave me his number anyway…and then after flirting didnt know how to tell me he can’t really pursue me…OR the girlfriend saw his phone finally or something. God forbid he didn’t make it home safe…wouldn’t that be crazy? Smh thats the last thing I said…smh but now because hes been “unreliable” I don’t know whether to take it as ghosting and move on…or contact the guy and see if he’s OK.

  • lethy May 25, 2017, 6:20 pm

hello…. I’m lethy and there’s this particular guy that ask me out and I kind of delay my respond, but the thing I’m bothered about is the fact that he’s not texting me back and when I text him he’ll respond and most times he wouldn’t respond… Please help not sure if I should date this person

  • Catherine May 19, 2017, 10:37 pm

I felt like an idiot when I fell in love with a guy online i haven’t met in person. He just stopped texting after two months when it gets nearer to the day that we’re supposed to meet up. It’s so complicated. He must’ve realized that us being in different countries is a hard situation to deal with. He was so into me, texring me every hour and every day and then suddenly went ghosting. I’ve texted him for three consecutive days and wirh this article i think it’s just better to let go.

  • waquanda powe May 17, 2017, 2:05 pm

    answer: nothing

  • sherlie December 8, 2016, 1:10 pm

couldn’t agree more! thank you for being honest and open about your thoughts and facts about how men connects and disconnects as well.

  • stella December 7, 2016, 11:37 pm

he may be not into dating as of yet. some men prefer meeting women and then making a choice who really to date exclusively. wait a bit more but don’t flood him w/ text messages that will make you look so needy

  • alma December 6, 2016, 4:43 pm

try to send him a last text and see if he responds or still not. if not, then i think you should be getting the hint he might not really be interested in you or in dating generally.

  • chelly December 5, 2016, 7:30 pm

i would give up texting him. i don’t need to spend all the time in the world waiting for text replies from someone like this kind of guy. ill just move on and enjoy

  • jennevieve November 29, 2016, 3:56 pm

if you’re in this situation, might as well consider the fact that he might not really want to pursue things further

  • malika November 28, 2016, 8:53 pm

i would leave him alone if i were in this bad situation.

  • lizzy November 25, 2016, 3:28 pm

i would give up and just move on with my life

  • lydia November 24, 2016, 6:19 pm

just accept it as it is and move on. you don’t want to be wasting your time waiting for nothing in the end, do you?

  • fanny November 23, 2016, 7:38 pm

leet him be and just be open for men to date

  • sarah November 22, 2016, 2:32 pm

you are absolutely right. thanks for the advice

  • monica November 21, 2016, 4:41 pm

i would say don’t wait any longer and just move on, be happy and free to meet some new people

  • grachelle November 17, 2016, 2:30 pm

you are right. he could be really busy but 2 days i believe is long enough to wait on a text message from a guy you have been texting since.

  • keren November 16, 2016, 2:14 pm

try texting him again for the last time and see if he gets back to you. if he still does not reply, forget about him. he’s not even worth the time and effort

  • carylle November 15, 2016, 3:12 pm

if you feel like he’s ignoring you on purpose, then he might just be. leave him alone and wait for the right one to come.

  • selena November 14, 2016, 3:25 pm

if it’s been a while and he hasn’t replied at all, i think it’s best that you stop waiting and expecting from him.

  • vaughn November 11, 2016, 10:44 pm

if you have means of seeing him in person, try to talk to him and see what his side of the story is

  • julianna November 10, 2016, 4:28 pm

unlike women, men do not focus on texting. but if it’s been 2 days and enough text messages sent, you should really think about it. he may be still busy but feels more like he’s ignoring you.

  • fanny November 9, 2016, 4:11 am

if you think you have sent him enough text messages and still doesn’t reply, it’s better if you move on and not wait, wondering what you did or said wrong. there’s no point in waiting.

  • betty November 7, 2016, 2:30 pm

leave it then. 2 days is quite long enough to still wait on a guy to text you after a few messages left.

  • annalyn November 4, 2016, 2:47 pm

now i know what to do… i hate it when my bf do this!

  • nancy November 3, 2016, 12:13 pm

i’m freaking out when my bf don’t text me!

  • quincy November 2, 2016, 4:06 pm

if you have sent too many texts w/out a single reply, i think it’s best not to text and definitely not to wait any longer

  • winona October 27, 2016, 6:10 pm

    i would say “that’s it”. i mean, it’s been 2 days..better move on

  • melinda October 26, 2016, 1:40 pm

this drives me crazy, i won’t last a day without my bf texting me!

  • yeng October 25, 2016, 1:46 pm

i wouldn’t even bother anymore. i mean, 2 days is more than enough to remind him of you.

  • princess October 24, 2016, 11:58 pm

definitely need to heed the warning signs. don’t put your hopes up, he’s not into you

  • paola October 18, 2016, 3:59 pm

i would let him be. i mean, if he’s interested he should have texted. if not, then just move on.

  • amara October 17, 2016, 3:50 pm

most men do not like texting. ask him so you know if you are waiting for any texts at all or he would rather you 2 spend time together.

  • Rits October 12, 2016, 9:37 pm

Hi, I just need to understand.. it’s know of sound so stupid. Things were going great. Text messages were too good to be true. But no picture was sent. We both fell kind of for each other on our first message. The text stopped all of a sudden for no reason. My last message was that i will be waiting if he want to call and talk.
Don’t get that after those sweet talk messages, why stop. I understand he has kids who are living with him. I feel like an idiot.

  • rica October 12, 2016, 5:42 pm

let him be. 2 days w/out any response at all is enough message he’s not interested.
